1. What research did you do? What did you find interesting about this style of theatre?

I Found out that TIE stands for theatre in education and it’s basically educational plays that will benefit the audience by teaching them, TIE was originated in 1953 at the Belgrade theatre. I researched about the history of TIE and learned that it is very useful in drama and it is not useless and it is very entertaining.

 2. What were your initial thoughts on this style of theatre? Did you like it or not? Explain why?

When we first began this, I did not expect it to be this much fun as I expected it to be strited to certain things and very plain, however it has been very interesting so far and I have learned that drama/acting has no restrictions and it is very beneficial to build character.

3. What were your initial ideas for a piece of theatre from this research?
We researched a serious issue from the news and were going to make a play to help and inform people what to do during an emergency and what not to do.

Process 1. Comment on your effective use of class time. Were you here every day? Describe a typical drama class from start to finish during the process of this unit.

I was present for every drama class and once the register had been completed, my group and I would find a place to rehearse and make modifications to our play.

2. Comment on the process work of each person in your group. Was he/she reliable, enthusiastic, supportive, prepared, and creative?

Nuwar: hard-working, on time, reliable and enthusiastic
Sharifa: supportive, creative, prepared, enthusiastic
Tamara: Reliable, creative, enthusiastic
Mohammed: Enthusiastic, on time, supportive
Karim: Prepared, on time, creative

3. Describe how you and your group worked on blocking, memorization, characterization, and pacing.

We made sure that every other group got enough space to rehearse their play and we had created a script because we could not memorize our lines and the pace we went at was the right pace which was that we gave ourselves enough time to get into character.

4. Did you give consideration to costume, props, set decoration, lighting, and sound? Explain. We could use a football kit for the boys but it is unnecessary, we have considered using google to talk for our play but we didn’t do it, also we don’t need decoration but we do need a fake mustache and a football. Also the news reporter will be done by google as it is more efficient.

5. If you had to do process work to live over again, what would you do differently?

Stick together, and modifications are what help us grow, be open minded.
